Summer Art Series
Join Sculpture Park Education Director David Halpern and the Alchemy Artists
for Sunday Summer Fun! Save your Sunday afternoons for free art at the Park. We are returning for a fourth year of hands-on, collaborative sculpture creation. All sculpture events will be led by local artists and are designed to be fun for all ages. Many of your co-creations will remain on display all summer at the Park!
Kids under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. No artistic experience necessary. All you need is a good attitude and a determination to have fun.
2025 Schedule
Each Art Series event takes place on Sunday from 2–4 p.m.
- June 22 — Weave on mini-looms with Alchemy Arts
- June 29 — Feather Fun! We’ll make owls and hide them in Whimsy Woods
- July 6 — Demo Day! Watch local sculptors make their art. Bring a picnic
- July 13 — Alchemy Clay Day. Turn drawings into sculptures
- July 20 — Help create a wild floating sculpture for the pond
- July 27 — Indigo Dye Day with Alchemy. BYO fabric if you can
- August 3 — Sculpture Scavenger Hunt with Phaedra
- August 10 — Sum of the parts. Help create an abstract group sculpture
- August 17 — Sorry, no sculpture event. Everyone’s at the County Fair!
- August 24 — Quilted Patches. Learn basic quilting techniques with Alchemy
- August 31 — Make the world’s largest Spider Web, complete with Spider
- September 7 — Paper mask making and collage with Alchemy
- September 14 — Help make and paint wacky Christmas Trees for an upcoming holiday celebration
