Daffodil Frolic

San Juan Islands Sculpture Park will kick off its 25th year with 10,000 daffodils to bloom in March 2026! This has been an ongoing project for the past 10 years, adding 1,000 bulbs each year, culminating with the 25th anniversary of the Park.
David Jenkins, Park Director and Board President, found that deer do not eat daffodils because the bulbs are from the onion family — not very tasty to them. He began planting them throughout the Park, lining the paths and surrounding sculptures. This year the riot of daffodils will be a welcome sight with an explosion of color, reminding us that Spring is just around the corner.
We look forward to seeing you there!
