Roche Ness Monster

Temporarily called Long Neck, the Park’s newest piece is a permanent installation. All summer long the Park has collected name ideas, receiving over 100 submissions from the community and visitors. Voting on the favorite name was live all through August and Roche Ness Monster was the winner!

“This was one of the hardest pieces we have installed!” says board member Marita Holdaway. Roche Ness Monster was speculated to be 15 feet long and 300 pounds but ended up over 20 feet and 450 pounds! “That’s a lot of vertical weight to get up in the air and balanced,” Marita says.

Visit Roche Ness Monster and her 150+ sculpture companions this summer! Roche Ness Monster is located near the fence bordering Roche Harbor Road, near the Roche Harbor entrance sign.
